My Story

     My name is Renae Simonds. I have wanted to teach for as long as I can remember. I love to read and write, have lots of books, and like to watch movies. I love to listen to stories told by other people and I really like to help kids. I have taught in Alachua County for 13 years. I was a special needs aide before I taught first grade. I decided to leave my classroom in order to tutor kids because I can help them one on one in a way that they cannot get access to at school. I am able to help identify each students’ needs and then address them however the child needs to learn and be successful. We work hard, but we also have lots of fun while we learn! The moment the light goes on for them is the best!
